Can't sleep, secret.

I was up till about 5 last night unable to sleep. Not because I was too drunk but simply my body would not allow sleep. So I was up reading one of the post-secret books that the good ol' boy across from me, Benji had lent. It made me think about why people keep secrets, does everyone keep secrets, can someone be 100% truthful. I came to a swift conclusion which was no, possibly because we all have a perception of the perfect world in our heads and if we were to reveal our secret the chance that it would make the change or not make the change that we hoped for is what makes it a secret in the first place...maybe I should go back to bed.

I love ink!

Shapes! So many shapes!

My daily dose of kitsune noir, he picked it out first but I want it on here so that I never lose it.

Funky futuristic feel to it, love the constantly changing scene and what a sound to go with it. Just wish there was more than a minute or so.

Boys Toys.

After considering it for quite a while, I've invested in a 35mm film camera. It's a lovely Olympus 0M-10, bought it off an old crusty guy near my home town, he was in WW2, has as fascination for aircraft and let me peer through his war diary! Seriously cool crusty.

The camera itself is lush, nice weight to it, fixed lens and the shutter speed can only be altered by the aperture at the moment but hey I guess it will limit me to certain shots. First film will be up soon, once I learn about darkroom.

If You Could Collaborate

This machine cut type by Craig Ward & Sean Freeman & Alison Carmichael at the exhibition 'If you could collaborate' was one of the outstanding pieces for me. the relief type was made on cad/cam machine but the cuts were so fine i was suprised to see it hold together. A nice touch was that when laser cut the blackened edges are actually the wood heating up. This added to the 3d presentation. Might have to get myself into the workshop after 'reading' week.

Shaved Monkeys.

A really disjointed sound that makes me want to get out of this small room and run to the nearest rave.

Funky illustration to go with it, I've started to illustrate things again, bJon Burgerman style...they'll be up soon and lets just say its nice to be back.
