Camera Roll: Brailling

Picking up on a project I started earlier in the year. Looking for all uses and representations of braille and came across these two shots from a while ago, one was on the front of a baby changer of all things whilst the other was a description of the photograph embossed in braille on top of the photograph.

Two really interesting developments and product ideas for the sight-impaired have come about in the recent weeks. One is a braille tape that my friend Paul showed me which allows users to apply the tape to electrical wiring so that they can distinguish between the different appliances and products. Here is the link to the site.

The other is an app made for the iPhone for users of braille to send and receive information, I really want to test it out and see how it works. If it is as successful as it sounds it'll be a great breakthrough for technology use for the sight impaired communicating efficiently and quickly.
