Olly Moss & his vintage book covers for classic games

Awesome penguin style covers for games that he has loved from computer gaming gone by.

A touch of humour and a real truth in each of them make me wish there were novels to compliment the great games of our time. It would make the longevity of each just that little longer.

Wiley 'Numbers in Action'

Yes Wiley! Michel Gondry-esque video, video and audio fit perfectly with the repeat of sequence and chorus.

Nice Micheal Jackson reference as well. Better than Eminems constant digs.

Drawing Machine by Eske Rex

Me and Nic tried to make a really complex drawing machine in first year that in my head would of worked something like this. Instead ours was a little less streamline and well, seeing this machine by Eske Rex makes me want to redo the drawing machine in 3rd year.

4 helpful webdesign sites

My web design tutorials start tomorrow so I thought I'd do some research and practice some stuff on the program as well as layout.

So here they are,

- How to make a website in flash (albeit a terribly designed one)
- My friend from foundation is curating the Graphic Design/Illustration website for Brighton Uni; the alumni section is a great source for inspiration in layout.

(maybe one more for after lunch...fade in effect

Cults...and our job of creating one

First off this awesome project costing only £500 to send a little man to the edge of the worlds statosphere and record all that it sees.

I don't know how this could link in with the creation of a cult but i'll figure something.

Second we have 'The Room' possibly the worst film ever made but has a cult following for the quality of acting, certain quotes, the atrocity of resemblance to human representation and of course the director/protagonist role of Tommy Wiseau.

The Jungle Book

Scat bap doobie doop baba scat thats what this type project is all abaat.

Louis Prima - original rare footage of a live performance which then led to the animators using their movements for the actual scene.

Oded Ezer - Israeli typographer with some amazing work that I feel visualises the movement of the letters or context of the words.

Good influence for this project; check out his biotypography

Graffiti without the can

Found here. I love street art, I love street art that hasn't been sprayed or painted, I love street art that has been sprayed or painted. What I now love is cement street art.

I did a couple of engraving on a wall where I get high sometimes, if I didnt get so high I would of taken a photo of it. If and when I go back and remember, I'll take some photos, discretely of course.
